The inspiration for Fireball came on a day that started out ordinary—hot, heavy air, and the kind of silence that only exists just before something breaks. I was watching the sun dip low in the sky, and suddenly, a streak of red-orange light burst across the horizon. It wasn’t a sunset. It was a meteor—a literal fireball—tearing through the atmosphere.
In that moment, everything felt still and electric at the same time. I wasn’t thinking about bills, emails, or what was for dinner. I was watching something ancient and powerful, something that didn’t care about time or rules. It was fast, fleeting, and unforgettable.
That image stuck with me. When I sat down to paint, I didn’t want to create a literal fireball—I wanted to capture the intensity of that feeling. The heat, the speed, the raw energy of a moment that changes everything without asking permission.
This painting is about that spark. The kind that hits without warning—whether it’s an idea, a breakthrough, or the moment you realize you can’t keep living the same way. Fireball is chaos, but it’s also clarity. It’s destruction and transformation wrapped into one.
